Geek Box Time!

At the start of the month, when I still had that mythical thing called “money”, I signed up for a subscription to the lovely folks over at mygeekbox.co.uk

My missus currently has subscriptions to approximately 412398 subscription boxes, so when I found out about geek boxes, I figured it was my turn. For those of you who don’t know, subscription boxes are little bundles of goodies that you get once or twice a month, usually for anything from £5-£20 a pop. My Geek box operates on pretty much the same principle. They do monthly themes, with this months box of delights being the “Quests” box.

So, without further ado, lets see what goodies we’ve got.

The parcel comes by royal mail tracked delivery which is a nice touch. I like knowing when my mail is going to arrive. Unfortunately, I was in work, so my wife left it for me on the desk!

So I opened up the outer package, and a lovely baby-blue geek box is waiting for me. LET US DELVE INTO IT’S TREASURES!

Greetings, from scenic middle earth. Don't mind the cave trolls.

First thing out of the box? a selection of hobbit postcards. Damned if i know what I’ll do with them, but they’re purty. I like the middle earth map one. I used to have a vintage poster of that map, but it got knackered when we moved house. Boo.

Winter is... a good time for reading books. so save your place.

Next out, a house stark bookmark. I approve of this. LONG LIVE THE KING IN THE NORTH.

And they do mean EVERY flavour.

A nice little treat, considering I was feeling peckish – although I drew the short straw a bit with the flavours. the Earwax flavour was the only really nasty one, but the vomit flavour didn’t taste like any vomit I’ve ever tasted. Of course, I doubt they sample their flavours from late twenties men with hangovers.

And now I've got the theme tune stuck in my head.

This month’s t-shirt? Rivendell dogs! I like this design, although I don’t tend to go for white t-shirts. I also made a slight mistake in ordering a 2-XL size. It’s actually too big on me, despite my chunkiness. I’ve downgraded the next box to a standard XL.

Anyways, last but not least…

DROGON IS MINT IN BOX.

A Funko Pop Drogon figure!!!! These vinyl figures have been popping up on the official GoT facebook page for some time, but I didn’t think I’d get my hands on one. He’s ADORABLE.

DROGON DOES NOT CARE ABOUT MINT CONDITIONING.

That’s his home now.
