Today, After a long long time – and just in time for the release of it’s first volume – I finally finished the first full book of High Moon Rising. I’m not going to lie, this last story had it’s ups and downs. I had a lot of elements I needed to bring into place in order to set up the universe my characters inhabit.
After having spent so much time in a world of primal forces, of guns and gunfights, it’s time for me to make a jump across the Atlantic to spend some time with the Guild of Magic, and their agents, the Order of Britain. A good part of the third volume of High Moon Rising’s as yet untitled third volume – I’m still playing around with the titles on that one – was spent introducing the lead of those stories, Callum.
I’ve been looking forward to this one. There’s going to be a much greater emphasis on magic in the new series – the Guild is much more experienced than America’s X Division, and has more resources at it’s disposal as a result. I don’t want to reveal too much right now, because just about anything I say will spoil the third novella, but I’m really looking forward to the writing of it.
The first story, Order of Britain: The Devil’s Regiment starts being written tomorrow.
