So, after many long weeks, and far longer than I intended it to bloody take, High Moon Rising: Deep Dweller Boogie has been completed. It really took me a long time to get into the flow of this story, and ironically it’s ended up being the longest HMR story thus far – if nothing else, that’s good for padding out the paperback!
It’s a sod of life that when my mood takes a dip, my writing quantity starts to suffer – when I’m at peak writing, I average somewhere between 1k-2k a day. I know that isn’t much by some peoples standards, but it is for me. On the other hand, when my mood drops, getting 100 words out of me is like blood out of a stone. Which leads to frustration. Which leads to Anger. Which leads to the Dark Side.
But, the light at the end of the tunnel is there, and I’ll be switching back to Callum and his comrades after this, where they go and face one of my favourite monsters/myths – the great demon dog, Black Shuck.
Away we go!
