At the moment, all I’m really doing is writing Call of Herne. I would love to say I’m getting close to the finish, bit at 23000 words in it barely feels like I’ve scratched the surface.
I have to admit, I am starting to worry that I might have to push the launch on this book back, just because the story is taking that long to tell. At the moment I’m in a fairly big battle scene, so we’ll see if things get a bit clearer once I get out of it. Its a bit like trying to fly a plane in thick fog – you know which direction you need to go, but distance gets a bit skewed.
What I really need to do is sit down and read the damn thing through. I think that might have to be one of this weekends tasks.
Whoever said writing was easy?
