It’s like painting, but with letters.

I don’t know why, but there is something about this story that is just drawing the words out of me. At the moment, I’m averaging 2000 words a day for the first time in about… eight years. Ever since my week away from The Day Job, I’ve been blitzing out page after page of Clockworld with an alacrity that is stunning even to me.

The first person to say that they write 15k words a day gets punched square in the face.

Anyway. The plot is certaint moving on, and it feels like one of the most enjoyable this I’ve written in a long time. Weirdly, the longer the book gets, the less I’m feeling the pressure – I’m telling my stories at my pace.

Oh – if you picked up High Moon Rising at any point, you might want to try the 2000ad comic The Grievous journey of Ichabod Azrael (And The Dead Left In His Wake.)

It’s a great weird western title, and the artwork is just brilliant. It also has a sarcastic talking horse.

Til next time!
